This church is a handsome structure standing on a prominent site at Abid Road and is more than a hundred years old. It has a seating accommodation for about 500 people.

The construction of the church was started in 1865, when Sir George Yule was the British Resident in [Ivderabad, and completed in 1867. Adjoining the church is an old cemetery with the graves of many old residents of Hyderabad, one of the most noteworthy being that of William Palmer who died in 1867.
