Pawan Kalyan (Telugu: పవన్ కళ్యాణ్) born Konidala Kalyan Babu (2 Sept 1971)is an Indian film actor who works in Telugu Movies. Apart from performing he has also worked well as a director, film writer, Stunt coordinator, choreographer and play-back musician. He is the sibling of popular Chiranjeevi. Kalyan made his performing first appearance in 1996 Telugu movie Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi.

In 1998, he appeared in Tholi Prema which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu for that year. He is known for his perform in successful movies like Gokulamlo Seetha, Suswagatham, Thammudu, Badri, Kushi, Jalsa and Gabbar Singh. He was detailed #53 in Forbes Indian top 100 Superstars for 2012.

Personal life:

Pawan Kalyan was born to Konidala Venkata Rao and Anjana Devi on 2 Sept 1971. He is the younger brother of Chiranjeevi and Nagendra Babu

Pawan Kalyan is a trained Martial Artist. He holds a black belt in karate and has displayed his skills in several of his films. He publicly performed his martial arts skills at several auditoriums. He was awarded the headline "Pawan", representing Hanuman. From then, Kalyan Babu became well-known as Pawan Kalyan.[10] Pawan Kalyan is a vegetarian and is extremely affected by Che Guevara, Jiddu Krishnamurti and Swami Vivekananda's philosophy.

Pawan Kalyan wedded Nandini, a Visakhapatnam resident, on 17 May 1997. The several divided after two years of wedding. Pawan began a connection with his co-star Renu Desai. His first wedding was examined by the press when Nandini registered a situation against Pawan and his close relatives looking for separation and breakup and spousal support from him on 25 July 2007. The situation was examined and in Aug 2008, the judge provided separation and breakup to the several with Pawan accepting to pay INR5 crores as a one time agreement to Nandini. The couple has two kids, a son known as Akira Nandan born in 2004 and a girl known as Aadhya born in 2010.

Career

Pawan Kalyan joined the Tollywood with the 1996 film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi as Kalyan Babu. This film ran for 100days in 4 centers and handled to become a hit. His second film was Gokulamlo Seetha in 1997, which was a rebuilding of the 1996 Tamil film Gokulathil Seethai. Raasi was the heroine in the film. This film was instructed by Muthyala Subbaiah and created by G.V.G. Raju. This film finished its 100 day run in 11 cinemas. In 1997, he was also seen in Suswagatham, a rebuilding of 1997 Tamil film Really like Nowadays featuring John Vijay, Suvalakshmi and Raghuvaran. This film was the first smash hit for Pawan Kalyan and ran for 100 Times in 16 centers.

Popularity

A social networking community on his name in the well-known public media website Orkut, 'Power Star Pawan Kalyan' community takes second place in Top 10 Orkut National communities.. He is also the first South Indian actor to promote a soda item Coke. Recently Indian Pop Singer Baba Sehgal composed a single on Pawan Kalyan saying in an interview that he has written the song keeping Pawan Kalyan's on screen personality in mind. The track is a kind of a 'Power Anthem'. Meanwhile, the musician denied that it is about glorifying the star. He further added that "There is something very unique about Pawan Kalyan and his personality and as a fan I've just tried to capture that".
