The 130 roomed, centrally air conditioned state-of-the-art Laboratory equipped with millions worth analytical instruments and computerized data management systems is the only one of its kind in South Asia.

The scientific team comprises of qualified and Innovative Scientists, Specialized Consultants from varying disciplines. To streamline processes at the Laboratory, VIMTA has introduced specific Product Labs that function as autonomous units. They reduce operation time as all activities related to that particular field are carried out in a specific product lab where hitherto it would pass through several departments. At present VIMTA has 12 Product Labs, but going by the success of this operation, it plans to extend this model across the facility to cover more extensive areas of testing, validation and research activities.
