Description
The Atlanta Foundation along with prominent industry forums namely NASSCOM, ITsAP,TiE
and AMCHAM and with the support of the Hyderabad Visitors Convention Bureau(HCVB)
and the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) brings India’s biggestcorporate
cycling event, The Republic Ride – 2012 at the Gachibowli Stadium Complex.
With an estimated rider count of close to 5000 & with an additional participation
in the "Cycling Carnival", "Cycling Expo", etc. the attendance projections will
exceed 10,000. Weare planning an impressive array of entertainment programs and
would like to invite a selectnumber of corporate teams to show case their talent
at this event.
The Ride:
• 100 KM Ride
• 5 / 10 KM Ride
• Healthy Kids Ride ( 1 – 5 KM )
The Carnival has cycling theme based fun games. Some are team games while some are
individual games. Following are the team games -
• Cycle Polo(4 players / team)
• Assemble & Ride(4 players / team)
• Tire-me-not(4 players / team)
• Cyclotomy(2 players / team)
• What's the TOOL-avari di?(2 players / team)
• Tire-Tug (4 players / team)
The categories of entertainment programs are:
• Fashion Show (based on "Cycling" theme)
• Singing Performance (Duet or group)
(solo acts to be considered for exceptional
talent )
• Dance Performance (Group)
Song/Dance performances to be based on the theme of India or Cycling or Education
The various academic activities are:
• Vocab! Contest Semi-finals & Grand Finle
• Learnasium Written Test
• Flag Me! Contest
As always the proceeds from this event will go to fund the education ofunderprivileged
students.
But what truly sets this event apart is that this is a socially-drivencycling event.
The goal is to raise awareness and funds for the education of under-privileged students,
such as -
1. Anjaiah Nagar Government Primary School
2. Ashray Akruti, (a school and a support organization for hearingimpaired children)
