Chennai, Dec 12 (TruthDive): Superstar Rajinikanth celebrates his 62nd birthday on December 12th and he will be spending the day with his family.
Rajini maintains that he will also not address his fans. “Though I’m grateful to them for their support and thankful for their wishes, I’d like to spend the day with my family,” he adds.
Shivaji Rao Gaekwad was born on December 12, 1950 and had very humble beginnings. He served as a ticket collector in a local shuttle bus in Bangalore when he was discovered by the legendary K. Balachander who renamed him Rajinikanth.
Soundharya Rajinikanth has wished her father in the social networking site and thanked everyone for their wishes. Rajini’s fans consider this 62nd Birthday of the Superstar to be the most special one and they are making preparations in every way to make it big.
It is also heard that many VIPs are planning to attend a grand birthday event that will take place in Chennai. Fans all around Tamil Nadu will participate in this event, say Rajini fan circles.The birthday meeting will have 20-25 of his fans from each district of Tamil Nadu. They will be selected through Rajinikanth Narpani Iyakkam (Welfare Movement), which has stronger presence all over the state.
Meanwhile, about 63-thousand Rajini fan clubs will be starting an online campaign reportedly asking Madame Tussauds to have a waxwork of the star.
At 62, he still remains the most sought after icons in the country, not just Kollywood. The Baadshah of Bollywood paid his tribute to the star in his magnum opus Ra.One. In theatres in Tamil Nadu,the loudest cheers have always alluded to Rajinikanth.
Next year will be a big celebration for Rajini as well as his fans, as Rajini’s birthday falls on 12-12-12. The fans say,”Everything we do for him has to be big. Next year’s birthday (12-12-12) will be a landmark day.
